With an acre of rainforest disappearing every two seconds, it's certainly a race to save this precious resource. And now that the online community Care2.com has teamed up with The Nature Conservancy Nature Conservancy, nonprofit organization established in 1951 to preserve or aid in the preservation of natural environments. Every day that the site (http://rainforest.care2.com/) is visited by a "race contestant," who registers for free, sponsors donate money to TNC's Adopt-an-Acre Program.
