Apptis Wins $100M Pacific Air Force Contract To Build Distribution Network.


CHANTILLY, Va. -- Apptis, Inc., in conjunction with The Centech Group, announced today that it has won a five year contract from the U.S. Air Force with a potential value of $100 million. The contract, which was awarded off of Centech's NETCENTs vehicle, is to provide the Pacific Air Force (PACAF PACAF Pacific Air Forces ) with an intra-building distribution network for Air Force facilities throughout the Pacific Region.

), tasks Apptis with reconstructing physical layer network infrastructure to comply with the growing needs of today's Air Force. The intra-building cabling and electronics complete network runs from individual wall outlets in each facility to the backbone through and through; thoroughly; entirely.

The contract scope also includes wireless technologies such as infrared, radio frequency, and free-space optics. Apptis will conduct assessments of existing F4F infrastructure and perform an analysis of PACAF's requirements. Based on that analysis, Apptis will provide the design and installation of the approved upgrades.

The F4F upgrades will support voice, video and data connectivity for Unclassified, U.S. Secret, Coalition Secret networks. PACAF commands approximately 45,000 military and civilian personnel at locations in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Diego Garcia, Japan and South Korea.
