Apptis Names Senior Vice Presidents for Health Solutions Sector.


Executives to Manage Emergent Healthcare Consulting Business Unit

CHANTILLY, Va. -- Apptis, Inc. today announced the hire of Melissa Chapman and Adam Welsh as senior vice presidents in the company's Health Solutions sector. Chapman and Welsh will drive new strategy, blueprinting and implementation engagements to expand and leverage Apptis' core competencies in the commercial and government health markets. Together, they will grow a team of consulting professionals focused on safety and quality, health information technology, regulatory services and preparedness and response.

Both Chapman and Welsh honed their collaborative skills while at Booz Booz (bō`ŏz), the same as Boaz. Allen Hamilton, where they spent over three years as a part of the same professional team. Each brings proven success in developing relationships and business across the health continuum.

Chapman brings significant experience in health information technology and regulatory compliance in the federal and pharmaceutical markets. She provides functional knowledge and experience in federal health architecture, health data standards, IT security, enterprise architecture, as well as bio-preparedness and emergency planning. Prior to Booz Allen Hamilton, Chapman was the CIO at the US Department of Health and Human Services and the acting CIO for the US Food and Drug Administration.

Welsh has extensive experience in the provider, health plan and federal health markets. While at Booz Allen Hamilton, he developed market strategy and intellectual capital in the areas of pay for performance, consumer directed health, health information technology and health quality. Welsh provided project management and delivery services to the Military Health System, the Department of Health and Human Services, major health plans, as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
