Apprentices support.NORTH EAST businesses have been voicing their support for an innovative apprenticeship campaign. The campaign, which aims to create 400 apprenticeships throughout the North East, received the backing of Oasis Dental Care in Darlington, saying that it is one of the best ways of recruiting the right staff for the job. The staff member receives additional training from a fully-qualified tutor, as well as hands-on experience." Oasis Dental Care's latest apprentice, 34-year-old Lynn Roberts from Aycliffe, is studying towards an apprenticeship as a trainee dental nurse and believes it is an ideal step to further her career in this field. She said: "I really enjoy being able to work and study at the same time. Once I complete my apprenticeship, I'm hoping to further my career in nursing, possibly leading into the field of oral health and radiography radiography: see X ray. ."
