Apprentice workers in spotlight; ALTON TOWERS.TALENTED young workers in Staffordshire are set to be thrown into the spotlight Spotlight can refer to at least three types of lighting:
The Staffordshire Apprenticeship apprenticeship, system of learning a craft or trade from one who is engaged in it and of paying for the instruction by a given number of years of work. The practice was known in ancient Babylon, Egypt, Greece, and Rome, as well as in modern Europe and to some extent Awards 2006 at Alton Towers on May 31 are organised by the Staffordshire Providers Association and Staffordshire Learning and Skills Council. They are looking to build on last year's successful contest by inviting more companies and learning providers to put forward their best young apprentices. Richard Elsby, who chairs the Staffordshire Providers Association, said: "The area is enjoying a major renaissance at the moment and the issue of developing the right skills is very much a talking point in the local business community. "That is why apprenticeships are so important, as we look to take advantage of unrivalled opportunities through the growing expertise, commitment and passion of our young workers."
