Appraiser maps out where housing market is headed.


Jonathan J. Miller, Principal, Miller Samuel Inc., will speak at the B'nai B'rith Real Estate Unit luncheon on Wednesday, November 1, noon, at the Cornell Club, 6 East 44thStreet. His topic is "Manhattan's Housing Market: Where We Are, Where We're Headed."

Miller has built and launched two widely read real estate blogs and since 1994 has authored several widely read reports on the Manhattan market. He is a certified general real estate appraiser A person selected or appointed by a competent authority or an interested party to evaluate the financial worth of property.

Appraisers are frequently appointed in probate and condemnation proceedings and are also used by banks and real estate concerns to determine the market
 and has been appraising properties in Manhattan for 20 years. In the past year his firm has provided property valuations of more than $5-billion.

Miller speaks frequently at appraiser and real estate related conferences and is a taskforce panel member for Fannie Mae Fannie Mae: see Federal National Mortgage Association.  and a member of the Mayor's Economic Advisory Panel and the New York City Council The New York City Council is the lawmaking body of the City of New York. It comprises 51 members from 51 council districts throughout the five boroughs. The Council serves as balance of power against the mayor in a "strong" mayor-council government model.  Finance Committee Economic Advisory Board.

Miller has performed research for several area universities and provides Manhattan market statistical content to New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Times Digital, the online entity of the New York Times Company.
