Appointments to the Scientific Review Committee for 2005.The Foundation for Physical Therapy announces the appointment of 4 new members to its Scientific Review Committee (SRC) for 2005: G Kelley Fitzgerald, PE, PhD, OCS, University of Pittsburgh; Carolyn Patten, PT, PhD, Stanford University; Christopher Powers, PT, PhD, University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission ; and Sue Ann Sisto, PT, PhD, Kessler Medical Rehabilitation Research and Education Corporation. The new members will begin their 3-year terms on January 1, 2005. The following members of the SRC are rotating off on December 31, 2004: Richard Clendaniel, PT, PhD, Duke University; Anthony Delitto, Pl;, PhD, FAPTA, University of Pittsburgh; Diane Jette, PT, DSc, Simmons College; and David Sinacore, PT, PhD, Washington University in St Louis. The Foundation deeply appreciates their service to the profession and the science of physical therapy. The SRC is composed of physical therapists with strong research and publication backgrounds and significant grant writing and review experience. The SRC meets twice a year to review applications for Foundation scholarships, fellowships, and grants.
