Appointments at Cincinnati Machine.

Unova Inc.'s Cincinnati Machine business unit (Cincinnati, Ohio) gets two new appointments that draw a line between machine building and sales and their

aftermarket support.

[paragraph] Dan Janka, a 17-year veteran, is named president of Cincinnati Machine's U.S.-based machinery business and will be responsible for its U.S. and worldwide operations. Previously he was VP and general manager of the firm's composites machinery section. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from Southern Illinois Univ.

[paragraph] Bill Horwath, who's been with Cincinnati for a dozen years, is named VP and general manager of the company's aftermarket support business, known as Cincinnati PLUS. He's been instrumental in moving that business from a simple parts operation into a comprehensive services business. Horwath's education includes a bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA from the Univ. of Cincinnati.

In making the appointments Kyle Seymour, senior VP for Unova's Industrial Automation Systems unit that includes Cincinnati Machine (www.cinmach.com), said he was "putting people in charge who know how to grow a business, and that is their mission going forward."

The Cincinnati PLUS program provides an umbrella for such services as performance monitoring and remote interactive tech support at initial setup, through to rebuilds and retrofits later in the life cycle.
