, a leading international publishing and information company, today announced that the Executive Board intends to appoint Mr. W. de Wit (47) Chairman of the division VNU Magazines The Netherlands, effective January 1, 2000. Mr. T (legally changed his name from Laurence Tureaud), (born on May 21 1952), is an iconic actor known for his roles as Sgt. "B. A.
.G.G. Bouwman, who will join the Executive Board of VNU on April 1, 2000. Pim de Wit has worked as Publishing Director of VNU Magazines The Netherlands since 1996. Previously he has been Managing Director of VNU Business Publications in London and VNU Business Publications in Amsterdam.

The Executive Board also intends to appoint Mrs. S. Duinhoven (34) Director Marketing & Sales of VNU Magazines The Netherlands, effective March 1, 2000. Susan Duinhoven has worked as Director Marketing & Business Development of Gouden Gids (Yellow Pages), a subsidiary of VNU World Directories, since 1998. Previously she worked at McKinsey & Company and Unilever.

The composition of the Management Board of VNU Magazines The Netherlands will then be as follows:

Pim de Wit, Chairman Auke Visser, Publishing Director Susan Duinhoven, Director Marketing & Sales.

Furthermore, a Chief Financial Officer will be added to the Management Board. Announcements regarding this appointment will be made in due course.
