Invensys Invensys plc is a British engineering company, headquartered in London, England. It was formed by the merger of Siebe and BTR in 1999. The company is multinational with operations in over 60 countries, employing over 35,000 employees.  plc announces that James Mueller has been appointed an executive director taking effect immediately.

He joined the group in 1993 and, having held a number of senior executive positions, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

 and Siebe, Ian Strachan has announced his intention to step down as non-executive Deputy Chairman of Invensys. His retirement will take effect from March 31, 2000.

Mr. Strachan joined BTR plc in 1995 as Chief Executive and was appointed to the Board. He was appointed Deputy Chairman of BTR Siebe in February 1999, becoming non-executive on November 4, 1999.
