) announces the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer and a Non - Executive Director to the Board of the Company.

Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

Mr Tommy McKeith has been appointed Chief Executive Officer ("CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. ") and an Executive Director of Troy effective 3rd April 2006.

Mr McKeith has spent the last seventeen years with international gold mining company, Gold Fields Limited including seven years as Gold Fields' Australasian Exploration Manager. In 2001, Mr. McKeith identified the opportunity and motivated the acquisition that led to Gold Field's successful bid for the St. Ives and Agnew Gold Mines from WMC Resources which established Gold Fields as a significant Australian gold producer. Tommy led the team that completed a comprehensive due diligence and was instrumental in the transition of the operations from WMC WMC Winter Music Conference

His most recent position was Vice President of Business Development concentrating on business development and exploration management for Gold Fields worldwide based out of Denver, Colorado.

Appointment of Non - Executive Director

Troy is also pleased to announce that Mr John Dow has been appointed a Non - Executive Director of the Company effective 15th February 2006.

Mr Dow has had a very distinguished and successful career in the mining industry most recently as Chairman and Managing Director of Newmont Australia (formerly Normandy Mining Limited) from which he retired in March 2005.

Mr Dow has a Bachelor of Science Honours in Geology and is currently a Director of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), President of the Society of Economic Geologists The Society of Economic Geologists, founded in 1920, is a scientific organization that promotes the study of geology as it relates to mining, mineral exploration, and mineral extraction. The society's Publication Board publishes the scientific journal Economic Geology. , Chairman of the WA School of Mines External Advisory Board and a former Chairman of the Australian Gold Council and Director of the Minerals Council of Australia. Other Management Changes

Following Mr McKeith's commencement as CEO, Mr John Jones will relinquish the title of CEO but remain the Chairman of Troy. Simultaneously Mr Ken Nilsson will relinquish the title of Managing Director and assume the title of Executive Director of Operations.

In announcing the appointments, Mr Jones said Troy was delighted to have attracted such high calibre industry professionals to the Company.

Messer's McKeith and Dow are two of the highest regarded men in the mining industry in Australia and they will add enormous depth, talent and expertise to the Troy team.
