Appointment at New School University. (News & Notes).


Roben Torosyan, formerly Acting Director of the Straus Thinking & Learning Center at Pace University, has been appointed Director of the Writing Center at New School University. The mission of the newly-created Writing Center is to help students "write for life." The Center is also available as a resource for faculty members to help them integrate writing, critical thinking, and transformative learning in the classroom. Individual tutoring sessions are also available through the University Writing Center.

At Pace University, Torosyan also taught critical thinking, decision making and leadership. He published research, facilitated faculty and staff development, and oversaw a graduate certificate in critical thinking and leadership training. Dr. Torosyan received his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy and his Master's degree master's degree
