(NEHA News).NEHAs sabbatical exchange programs, arranged in cooperation with Great Britain's Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Founded in 1883, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) is a professional and educational body, dedicated to the promotion of environmental health and to encouraging the highest possible standards in the training and the work of environmental health professionals. (CIEH CIEH Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (UK) ) and the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI CIPHI Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (l'Institut Canadien des Inspecteurs en Hygiène Publique) ), provide career-enhancing international opportunities and knowledge for NEHA NEHA National Environmental Health Association NEHA National Executive Housekeepers Association NEHA Northern Estates Homeowners Association (Indianapolis, Indiana) members. The sabbatical exchange with CIPHI was just introduced last year; previous sabbatical winners to England have studied mad cow disease mad cow disease: see prion. mad cow disease or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) Fatal neurodegenerative disease of cattle. Symptoms include behavioral changes (e.g. , regulatory food safety from the perspective of local health jurisdictions, food safety education, and academic programs for environmental health, to name a few. NSF International and Underwriters Laboratories are cosponsors of the programs, which provide stipends of up to $4,000 plus airfare for each four-week sabbatical. For a two-week program, funds are adjusted accordingly. Members of CIEH and CIPHI are also selected to have sabbaticals in the United States. Applications for the sabbaticals must be received at NEHA by March 3. |
