COMMUNITY groups are being urged to apply for lottery money to help them carry out their work.

The North Tyneside North Tyneside is a metropolitan borough of Tyne and Wear in the North East of England. Its seat is at the Town Hall, Wallsend.

Created in 1974, the borough lies within the historic county boundaries of Northumberland.
 Voluntary Organisations Development Agency (VODA) wants organisations to apply for cash through the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All scheme.

It provides grants between pounds 300 and pounds 10,000, and is now offering a more easily-accessible programme with quicker decision times.
