Apply creativity for a great summer event.

As the temperature rises outside, summer fever spreads through offices all over Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, , and employees pine for the outdoors and long weekends. Let the team of experts at Wolfgang Puck Wolfgang Johann Puck (born Wolfgang Johann Topfschnig on July 8, 1949) is an Austrian-American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and businessman based in Los Angeles.  Catering share a few pointers on everyone's favorite summertime activities to help build morale and a stronger sense of community in the workplace. Below are some of their creative suggestions to get you started:

Classic summer fun

Invite your staff to a company family day at your local park. Break from the typical 9-5 weekday and plan an afternoon with you and your staff's families. Arrange for a softball or volleyball tournament, have t-shirts made with the company logo and whatever creative names your staff have chosen for their team. This can be inspirational year round--hire an entertainment company to set up games, rides, cotton candy machines, novelty ice creams and authentic carnival hotdogs.

Take me out to the ball game (buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks) ...

Plan on a slow day. Take tour team to the ballpark for an afternoon game. Sometimes the best thing to do when you have been working tirelessly on a presentation or a project is to shake things up and facilitate a positive workplace. Pre-order the specialty foods which you know will make a homerun--candy bars or cracker jacks with your company logo.

Happy as a clam

Show your staff your appreciation by bringing a clambake to your office. Hire a chef or your favorite restaurant to make your staff feel as though they have "gone fishin'": put a whole lot of drinks into ice buckets, steam up some clams, Shanghai lobster with spicy ginger curry sauce Noun 1. curry sauce - allemande sauce with curry powder and coconut milk instead of stock

Hire a caterer or your favorite fast food company or ice cream truck to deliver to your office every Friday for the entire summer. Show your staff appreciation and prepare them for the upcoming quarter of hard work.

Enrich your company culture

By definition culture is all products of work and thought. Look for exhibitions which might evoke interesting conversations or might be stimulating at local Museums. Host a cocktail party and guided tour guided tour guide nvisite guidée;

 of the upcoming King Tut exhibition. Have a company family day at the Kidspace Museum in Pasadena complete with a pizza party, or at The Page Museum-La Brea Tar Pits.

Whether you are organizing a clambake at the beach, a picnic in the park, or simply organizing the company softball team, remember as Wolfgang always says--"live, love, eat"--are all key.
