Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on : APLX) announced today that it has signed a definitive agree ment to acquire Target Systems Corporation, a Massachusetts-based developer of support automation software. This represents a cash transaction valued at approximately 6 million dollars and is scheduled to be completed during the fourth quarter of 1995. Target Systems develops and sells support automation applications to a broad spectrum of industries, worldwide. Target Systems based in Marlboro, Mass is a pioneer in the development of support auto- mation software for help desks, customer service and asset tracking applications.
