Applix announces Clarissa Venditelli as vice president of customer support.

WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1996--Applix Inc. (NASDAQ: APLX) today announced the appointment of Clarissa Venditelli as vice president of customer support. Ms. Venditelli will be responsible for evolving Applix's worldwide customer support and service operations with a mission to provide the highest quality support for all of Applix's product offerings, including their core technologies, Enterprise solutions and the recently acquired real-time OLAP product line.

Ms. Venditelli comes to Applix from Sybase, Inc., where she managed the customer services and support organization by delivering premier and mainstream telephone support to the Eastern United States and a national major telecommunications account. While at Sybase, Ms. Vendtelli's successes included the development of a proactive call response program to ensure customer responses were met and also maintained the support processes for a successful completion of ISO 9000 certification and surveillance audits. Prior to this position, Ms. Venditelli served as a senior technical support manager with Sybase. Ms. Venditelli has also held positions as a software engineering manager at Digital Equipment Corp., a customer support manager at The Saddlebrook Corp., and a financial systems officer at State Street Bank & Trust. Ms. Venditelli holds an A.S. from Massasoit Community College.
