We rely heavily on open source security software such as Snort to secure our Intranets and Extranets against attacks but had no way to centralize those alerts and manage the rules. Now, with the Applied Watch Command Center, we have a global view of our entire Snort IDS infrastructure on one screen."

DynCorp International leverages other open source security tools such as the Nessus vulnerability scanner A vulnerability scanner is a computer program designed to search for and map systems for weaknesses in an application, computer or network.
