Applied Science Fiction, Inc. (ASF), the leader in image enhancement and correction technologies, today announces the addition of Dan Sullivan as executive vice president of intellectual property (IP), strategy and administration. In this capacity, he will be responsible for protecting and preserving the IP of ASF, establishing licensing guidelines, formulating corporate strategy, managing the information systems, human resources and facilities operations of ASF.

Prior to joining ASF, Mr. Sullivan served as vice president of Asia Pacific Technical Operations (APTO) division of IBM. While with the APTO division, Mr. Sullivan played a key role in the formation of a unified Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) format and facilitated digital copyright protection agreements with the motion picture, recording, consumer electronics and computer industries. Mr. Sullivan also served as director of licensing development for IBM, during which he specialized in technology licensing and alliance development. He previously held positions as general manager of OEM operations in Asia, director of marketing planning and various product management positions within IBM.

Mr. Sullivan earned a Master of Science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.

With the addition of Dan Sullivan, ASF is one step closer to completing its new management team. Mr. Sullivan joins an experienced team, which includes CFO, Bob Sleet from Sprint and Kodak veteran, Jerry Johnson, executive vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and licensing operations.
