) today announced that its GB Electrical unit has acquired New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  Controls, Inc. in a transaction valued at approximately $2.1 million. New England Controls, based in Milford, Connecticut Milford is a city in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 50,594 at the 2000 census. The city contains the Borough of Woodmont (a separate incorporated place within the city) and Devon. The current mayor of Milford is James L. Richetelli, Jr. , is a prime manufacturer of electrical specialty switches for the electrical wholesale, retail do-it-yourself (D-I-Y), automotive, marine and original equipment (OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and ) markets.
