Applied Micro Circuits Corporation --AMCC-- Standardizes on Verisity's VPA Platform.MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Award-Winning MISSION(TM) Solution Successfully Verified with Verisity Verification Tools and Methodologies Verisity, Ltd. (Nasdaq:VRST VRST Virtual Reality Software and Technology VRST Virtual Reality System Testing ), a leading supplier of verification process automation (VPA VPA Valproate VPA Vancouver Port Authority (Canada) VPA Virtual Population Analysis VPA Voluntary Partnership Agreement VPA Voluntary Placement Agreement VPA Volume Purchase Agreement VPA Vermont Principals' Association ) solutions, today announced that Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC AMCC Applied Micro Circuits Corporation AMCC Air Mobility Control Center AMCC Ashore Mobile Contingency Communications AMCC Advanced Materials Commercialization Center AMCC allied movement coordination center (US DoD) ) (Nasdaq:AMCC), makers of high-performance networking solutions, has successfully used Verisity's VPA platform to verify new products from the highly-lauded MISSION family of chips, which represents the next step for multi-service switches and core/edge routers. AMCC has relied on Verisity products for several years now and has standardized on Verification Process Automation solutions to do parallel development across its geographically dispersed sites. The company's MISSION platform has enjoyed great success and was just selected as Best Telecom Product and overall Best in Show at the Network Systems Design Conference. Verisity's e Reuse Methodology (eRM(TM)) is among the numerous VPA systems and processes the company employs. "We've enjoyed significant productivity gains with Verisity's system-level methodology and reuse capabilities," said Joe Rash, AMCC director of engineering. "Our diverse engineering team has developed reusable verification IP and implemented a coverage-driven approach to reduce the overall time it takes to create and apply a powerful verification environment." Rash reported that the methodologies have been used with Verisity's Specman Elite(TM) to introduce new levels of automation into AMCC's verification process. As a result, the design team successfully delivered the nP3700, a 5-Gbps network processing and traffic management solution -- the highest performance integrated solution in the industry -- as well as its Tigris high-performance, high-density data-termination device. "The nP3700 and the Tigris devices are highly configurable yielding extremely large verification space. Specman Elite and eRM helped us to achieve first pass silicon success on both of these MISSION devices," said Rash. "We are happy to have AMCC as a customer," said Steve Brown Steve Brown is the name of more than one person of note:
