), has placed a multi-technology order for a variety of 300mm semiconductor manufacturing systems. Trecenti will use the systems to produce leading-edge chip technologies at 0.18 micron micron: see micrometer.

Applied Materials' 300mm systems are expected to begin shipping to Trecenti in the third calendar quarter of 2000.
