That name is on the original patents for the 5.25" hard disk drive.  Inc. for $21.5 million in cash pursuant to a previously announced agreement.

Of the sale proceeds, $6.5 million will be held in escrow pending completion of certain post-closing obligations involving other agreements, related to the acquisition, under which Applied Magnetics and its subsidiary, Applied Magnetics Korea Ltd. will continue to produce and sell to Seagate certain tape related products and components.
