Applied Intelligence Group Inc. completes World Wide Web communications program for UroCor Inc.


EDMOND, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1997--Applied Intelligence Group Inc. is announcing the completion of a new Internet-based communications program Software that manages the transmission of data between computers, typically via modem and the serial port. Such programs were very popular for connecting to BBSs before the Internet took off.  which will allow physicians to conduct business via the World Wide Web with UroCor Inc.

The latest in a series of projects completed by Applied Intelligence Group Inc. for UroCor, the new program is an innovation in the medical communications field. It enables UroCor to receive patient information from urologists and communicate patient diagnoses and test results through the World Wide Web. To further enhance UroCor's communications, Applied Intelligence consultants also helped create and maintain a reengineered World Wide Web presence for UroCor.

By using the World Wide Web, Applied Intelligence enabled UroCor and its physician clients to avoid the expense of developing and maintaining a dial-up network (1) The switched telephone network regulated by government and administered by common carriers. In the near future the application will give client urologists access to a decision support database providing information such as patient outcomes for different courses of treatment.
