Applied Innovation Enhances Key Remote Site Management Products.

The enhancements are part of the Applied Innovation (AI) comprehensive remote site management solution and involve several of the company's flagship products:

* AIdirector[TM] version 2.1 - The base platform of the company's regional operations management Operations management is an area of business that is concerned with the production of goods and services, and involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective.  platform has been enhanced with the ability to restrict visibility and control via customer-defined user groups; viewing and/or action assignments can be restricted to specific equipment, sites, and regions. In addition, the product's ability to report the status of AI products has been improved, giving a consolidated view of all AI and non-AI technologies.

* Event Director version 1.1 - This add-on application for AIdirector now supports SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files. See HSM.

(2) (Systems Management Server) Systems management software from Microsoft that runs on Windows NT Server.
 & email event forwarding so field technicians have increased flexibility with regard to how and when they receive important alarm and event notifications.

* SecureSite Director version 1.0 - This new add-on application for AIdirector provides monitoring and control for remote IP cameras and door/window alarms, plus a secure and centralized cen·tral·ize

* AIremote[TM] version 2.4 - The latest release of AI's remote site management appliance has been enhanced with support for TACACS (Terminal Access Controller Access Control System) An access control protocol used to authenticate a user logging into the network.
