Applied Fiber Optics Introduces 2x4 WDM.


FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 4, 1997--Applied Fiber Optics fiber optics, transmission of digitized messages or information by light pulses along hair-thin glass fibers. The 2x4 WDM module provides low insertion loss The amount of loss attributed to a particular device being used in (inserted into) the system. For example, a circuit added to filter out unwanted frequencies may reduce the output current by some amount. See injection loss.  (0.6dB) and high isolation (34dB) in each RX channel. It has a low insertion loss polarization dependence of less than 0.15 dB and a minimum directivity of less than 55dB. The device, which is frequency insensitive, is environmentally stable and reliable.
