Applied Dynamics International Names Melissa Wright President and Garnel F. Graber Interim CEO.


ANN ARBOR Ann Arbor, city (1990 pop. 109,592), seat of Washtenaw co., S Mich., on the Huron River; inc. 1851. (ADI) today announced the appointment of Melissa Wright (41) as President, replacing John McIntosh This article refers to the apple farmer. For other references, see John McIntosh (disambiguation).

John McIntosh (August 15 1777 – ca 1846) was the Canadian farmer who is credited with discovering the McIntosh Red apple.

, began her career with ADI in 1986 as a senior application engineer. She was promoted to engineering manager in 1993, vice president engineering in 1997, vice president business development in 2003 and chief operating officer in 2004. She has been credited with putting initiatives in place that have positioned ADI products and services for outstanding revenue and profits growth.

"ADI will benefit from the experience and leadership that Melissa Wright has demonstrated on numerous occasions. I know that this is a management change that will be highly beneficial to employees and investors for years to come," said retiring chief executive McIntosh.

"Garnel F. Graber, chairman of ADI's Board of Directors, was also named to serve as interim chief executive officer," said McIntosh.

Graber, was ADI's President from 1977 to 1992 and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  from 1992 to 1994. He will now serve as interim CEO and chairman of the Board of Directors.

Among the long list of accomplishments during her time as vice president of engineering and business development, Wright led the product development efforts for the open Advantage simulation framework and more recently the rtX PC-based real-time simulator (1) Software that enables the execution of an application written for a different computer environment. Same as emulator.

. During the last decade, ADI has moved from proprietary hardware and software systems to the most open simulation systems on the market.

Mrs. Wright resides in Saline, Michigan Saline (pronounced sə-lēn as in Celine) is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 8,034.  with husband Kevin and three children, Natalie, Christopher and Anna.
