Product orders placed by previously announced and recently signed

exclusive international VeriChip distributors

, VeriChip Corporation, has received orders in the third quarter of 2003 for over 2,700 VeriChips and more than 80 proprietary scanners from its exclusive VeriChip distributors in several countries. The VeriChip product orders were placed both by previously announced and recently signed exclusive international VeriChip distributors.

The Company has already shipped more than 1,200 VeriChips and 40 scanners in the third quarter of 2003 to several international VeriChip distributors and expects to fill orders for an additional 1,500 VeriChips and another 40 scanners later in the third quarter.
