) today announced the release of a new software product, Compliance Plus, designed to address the needs of suppliers and vendors conforming to major retailers' bar coding shipment requirements. Applied Technology said: "the product will generate significant revenues in 1995 and beyond, and we expect to begin shipments in April."

Compliance Plus is the only complete software package which incorporates bar code labeling, hardware, and customized installation configuration capabilities. The product's marketability is expected to be enhanced by Applied Cellular's vendor partners, Telxon Corp., which holds a 41 percent market share in the handheld computer A computing device that can be easily held in one hand while the other hand is used to operate it.
