Applied Cellular Technology Inc. Reports Record Revenues of $1.966 Million And Record Income Of $62,129 For Second Quarter. Earnings Per Share Reported at $0.03. First Half Revenues Exceed Previous Year's Total By 137%. Operating Income Increases By 252% to $121,908 On A Comparable Six Month Basis.


NIXA, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 1996--Applied Cellular Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ-ACTC) reported net income of $62,129 or $0.03 per share on revenues of $1,966,769 for the second quarter of 1996, versus net income of $39,018 or $0.03 per share on revenues of $209,662 in the comparable preceding year reporting period. Weighted average common shares outstanding increased 50% to 2,313,042 versus 1,543,468 on a comparable quarter basis.

Total assets were recorded at $6,136,447 versus $4,131,485 at the end of the calendar year 1995. Long term debt remained less than 1% of equity. Total stockholders equity was booked at $3,497,062 versus $3,051,940 at year end. Book value was reported at $1.43 per share on total common shares outstanding of 2,439,920 at quarter's end versus $1.34 per share on total common shares outstanding at year's end of 2,267,749.
