Applied Biosystems to Webcast Presentations at Two January Financial Conferences.

Presenting January 9 at the JPMorgan Annual Healthcare Conference and January 11 at the Needham & Co. Growth Conference

FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- Applied Biosystems Group (NYSE:ABI), an Applera Corporation business, will webcast its presentations at two upcoming financial conferences. Tony L. White, Chief Executive Officer of Applera Corporation, will present an overview of the Applied Biosystems business at the JPMorgan Annual Healthcare Conference. The live webcast is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. PT.

Applied Biosystems will also webcast its presentation at the Needham & Company, LLC Growth Conference on Thursday, January 11, 2007. The live webcast is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET. Leonard Klevan, Division President, Applied Markets Division, will present a brief overview of the business and then focus on growth opportunities in the applied markets.
