Applied Biometrics Ferrari Ready to Dominate At Lime Rock.

Business/Technology Editors

BURLINGTON, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 2000

Applied Biometrics Products, Inc. proudly announces that Todd Morici's 1981 Ferrari BBLM Car #72, which will be at the upcoming Lime Rock Park Lime Rock Park is a road course auto racing facility located in Lime Rock, Connecticut, a hamlet in the village of Lakeville, Connecticut. The track is owned by Skip Barber, a former race car driver who started the Skip Barber Racing School at Lime Rock Park in 1975.  Ferrari Historic Challenge Series July 13 - 15, 2000, will be sporting Applied Biometrics' logo.

Biometrics, the science of using your body to identify yourself (for example, via your fingerprint), has been around the track awhile but cost and portability have not allowed it to finish the race.

Until now... A relative rookie driver of the biometrics industry, Applied Biometrics has been in the lead since the drop of the green when the company was formed in late 1998.

Applied Biometrics has dominated the industry early in the race. More than a few laps ahead of the rest of the pack, Applied Biometrics focused on the role that portable products play and sought to provide a solution for this enormous market.

Judging by the reception their patented(a) Kryptic has had from such industry leaders as Palm Computing, it is clear that Applied Biometrics' Kryptic product family is now a veteran checkered check·ered

Applied Biometrics' competition is still in the pits and suffering from blown business paradigms, while the battery operated Kryptic products take all pole positions.

Applied Biometrics' first product release, the standalone, low cost, Kryptic Pilot, makes portable Palm handhelds fingerprint-secured and works on just two AAA batteries. Clearly, Applied Biometrics has distanced themselves from the rest with the powerful, yet "fuel efficient", advantage that Kryptic provides.
