Applications are Now Available for Taft University's Doctor of Education Program.

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- William Howard Taft University has announced that beginning on October 1, 2008 it will resume accepting applications for its Doctor of Education Program. The Program, which was founded in 1994, has been subject to voluntary enrollment limitations in recent years.

After an extensive review of curriculum, courses, faculty, and administrative capacity by independent subject specialists, the Distance Education and Training Council in June gave final approval to the University to enroll additional students.

Barry P. Resnick, Administrative Dean of the School of Education, said in recent years the focus has been on developing the Master of Education Program. "With the addition of new faculty I am very excited about the quality of the Ed.D. Program. In our opinion this Program, in terms of scope and rigor, equals or exceeds those of comparable classroom based programs," Resnick commented.

To commemorate the re-opening of admissions, the first twenty-five students who are accepted for admission and commence study by January 1, 2009 will receive a grant equal to 50% of the published tuition. Provided the student remains in good standing, this grant will remain in effect throughout the length of the Program.
