EUGENE, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1999--

Pacific Challenge, an adventure study program to Australia and New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. , is now accepting applications for the winter 2000 term.

"Seminars and information sessions are taught by university faculty, national park personnel and local business people. Numerous geological excursions, incidental learning experiences and in-house study sessions complement a myriad of adventure activities."

Students can earn up to 16 quarter, or 12 semester, upper division college credits. All credits must be arranged through Pacific Challenge in conjunction with the applicant's school.

The $5,250 travel program fee covers most expenses including round trip airfare from Los Angeles, coach and bus travel, food (except lunches), lectures, most activities, and lodging. Spending money and tuition fees are the responsibility of the student.
