The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Supervalu. is awarding 40 high school seniors who plan to continue their education with a total of $40,000 in scholarships to institutions of their choice. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is Feb. 27. Applications can only be found and submitted online at www.cub.com. Presented by the Cub Cares Community Foundation, which is committed to supporting education, the 40 scholarships, each for $1,000, will be awarded to high school seniors with a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale who show dedication in the classroom, provide service to their community and participate in extracurricular activities. Students who are residents of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa or Illinois are eligible to apply.
