Applica Inc. today announced their latest product introduction, Applica 2000, a powerful new thin client that transforms a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers into a multimedia-capable, high-performance Windows 2000 desktop. The Applica solution is the first to provide real-time delivery of streaming audio A one-way audio transmission over a data network. It is widely used on the Web as well as company networks to play audio clips and Internet radio. Computers in home networks stream audio (mostly music) to digital media hubs connected to home theaters.  and video to multiple clients simultaneously in a Windows 2000 cluster.

Applica 2000 is the only product for Windows 2000 that provides "no lag time" support for users of multimedia-intensive applications and other digital content available through CDs, DVD's and the Internet, utilizing just a standard monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers for each station.
