Applebee's International Hosts First World GM Conference; Celebrates Opening of 1,300th Restaurant.

More than 1,000 associates from as far away as Kuwait City recently attended the first World General Managers Conference hosted by Applebee's International, Inc. (Nasdaq:APPB APPB Array Processor with Pipelined Bus

This meeting marked the first time general managers, field management and home office professionals from both the company and 66 franchise organizations worldwide gathered for one company-wide meeting. Participants previewed marketing, menu promotion and growth plans, recognized sales leaders and honored four general managers with the Best Neighbor Award, the company's most prestigious community service recognition.

Applebee's International also celebrated the opening of the concept's 1,300th restaurant in Massillon, Ohio, on April 2nd. This is the 59th restaurant owned and operated by franchisee Apple American.
