Macintosh manufacturer Apple Computer Corp has launched the Apple DVI to ADC Adapter.

The new product allows users to use a flat panel display A thin display screen for computer and TV usage. The first flat panels appeared on laptop computers in the mid-1980s, and the LCD technology became the standard. Stand-alone LCD screens became available for desktop computers in the mid-1990s and exceeded sales of CRTs for the first time  from Apple with the new PowerBook G4 through its Digital Visual Interface “DVI” redirects here. The Digital Visual Interface (DVI) is a video interface standard designed to maximize the visual quality of digital display devices such as flat panel LCD computer displays and digital
 port. The Adapter also allows the addition of a second flat panel display.
