Apple Computer to delist from TSE, cites thin trading volume.


TOKYO, Nov. 17 Kyodo

Apple Computer Inc. said Wednesday it has taken procedures to delist its stock from the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Stock Exchange

Main stock market of Japan, located in Tokyo. It opened in 1878 to provide a market for the trading of government bonds newly issued to former samurai.

 will move Apple Computer stock to the monitoring post Thursday to inform investors of its delisting, expected on Dec. 25.

The U.S. computer maker is currently listed on the TSE as well as the U.S. Nasdaq market and the Frankfurt Securities Exchange.

The number of foreign stocks traded in the TSE now totals 31, down from a peak of 125 in 1990.
