Designed for the consumer and SoHo markets, the Performa 6400 series is noted for its ease-of-use and strong software bundle. Performa 6400 models are available immediately and range in price from $2,399 to $2,799.

Developed in conjunction with DKDirect, The American Heritage(R) Children's Dictionary turns the third edition of Houghton Mifflin Co.'s popular children's reference into a playful, educational, interactive experience for children ages 7 to 12. The American Heritage(R) Children's Dictionary sports more than 13,000 headwords with real-voice pronunciations, 37,000 total entries, 750 animations, 2,750 illustrations and photographs, and 800 authentic sound effects.

FamilyPC gave American Heritage(R) Children's Dictionary a "Family Tested" award, calling it a reference work that, "goes a long way toward redefining the value of computer-based dictionaries."

Sold separately, the software carries an SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol.  of $39.95 and is available through a network of distributors and computer, software and book retailers nationwide, and directly from HMI.
