Industry First Power Management Solution Promotes Scalable Green Computing Green computing is the study and practice of using computing resources efficiently. Typically, technological systems or computing products that incorporate green computing principles take into account the so-called triple bottom line of economic viability, social responsibility,

ST. LOUIS -- Appistry today announced the availability of an on-demand webinar that discusses the key features and benefits of Appistry EnergySaver, the company's innovative new power management product for data- and compute-intensive applications. Appistry EnergySaver -- which was announced on August 7, 2007 at the Next Generation Data Center Conference in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  -- enables dynamic power management that reduces energy costs while maximizing application performance. The webinar, hosted by Appistry Vice President of Product Management and Marketing Sam Charrington, is available on Appistry's website at www.appistry.com/special/energysaver/learn-more.

"Appistry EnergySaver is the first of a new generation of software that takes an active, application-aware approach to enabling 'greener' data centers," said Charrington. "We're ecstatic about the response we've received to EnergySaver thus far and we're pleased to make this webinar available to enterprises seeking to lower application operating costs operating costs nplgastos mpl operacionales ."

Appistry EnergySaver works with the company's award-winning Appistry Enterprise Application Fabric (EAF EAF - Effort Adjustment Factor ), allowing application fabric administrators to easily define policies establishing acceptable system workload levels. Appistry EnergySaver constantly monitors application load and -- based on the EnergySaver policy in effect -- automatically powers down computers when application utilization is low, and then reactivates them when additional capacity is required.

Appistry EAF already simplifies the development and deployment of large-scale applications by virtualizing them across a pool of inexpensive computers in the data center. With Appistry EnergySaver, customers will also be able to:

* Take advantage of the scalability provided by Appistry EAF while slashing slash·ing
