Appiant Technologies to Host Q2 Earnings Conference Call May 10 At 2:00pm PST.

Appiant Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: APPS), a leading Unified Communications/Unified Information (UC/UI) service provider, today announce it will release results for second quarter earnings on Thursday, May 10, following the close of trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market Nasdaq stock market

The first electronic stock market listing over 5000 companies. The Nasdaq stock market comprises two separate markets, namely the Nasdaq National Market, which trades large, active securities and the Nasdaq Smallcap Market that trades emerging growth companies.

As a direct result of a new SEC position regarding auditor independence, Interim CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  Howard Slayen resigned his position with Appiant as of April 20, 2001. The SEC independence interpretation affects certain retired partners who have continuing interests in their predecessor firms. Due to Mr. Slayen's continued interest in Appiant, and his status as a retired partner from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, also Appiant's outside auditors, he is prevented from being employed by Appiant in a financial or accounting role under this new position. Appiant's CEO Doug Zorn, who has previously served as CFO for the Company and worked side-by-side with Mr. Slayen, is serving as Acting CFO. The Company is currently in discussions with qualified candidates to fill the position and hopes to appoint a new CFO in the near future.
