Appiant will deploy its unified communications/unified information product (UC/UI), inUnison(TM) Personal Information Portal, for Pipeline's nationwide customer base, giving Appiant access to more than 150,000 current Pipeline end-users nationwide, and based on Pipeline's market coverage, a potential reach of 24 million.

Pipeline will launch the inUnison portal with its standard long distance service beginning in February 2001. The inUnison product will be offered by Pipeline to its customers on a prepaid basis. The initial one-year contract provides Appiant with a minimum $1 million revenue stream, based on minimum penetration guarantees from Pipeline. Appiant and Pipeline will work closely together to drive adoption of the inUnison portal and applications among Pipeline's end-users, driving revenues well above the first year minimum commitment.

Pipeline provides prepaid flat-rate communications through its extensive distribution channels across the country, in markets comprising 70 percent of the U.S. population.
