Appeals should be refused.Byline: Joe Riley SEAN n. 1. A seine. See Seine. Mercer, 18, wants to appeal his 22-year minimum sentence for murdering Rhys Jones Several people share the name Rhys Jones:
Liam O'Brien, 19, is seeking to appeal his so-called indefinite sentence (possibly as little as four-and-a-half years) for the manslaughter of Liverpool music fan Ryan Dugdale, after starting a fire.Drink-driver Ross Robinson, 24, has sought to appeal a nine-year sentence (also as little as four-and-a-half years served) after mowing down Huyton youngster Demi Leigh Royle. Their dead victims were aged 11, 21 and six. Their still-with-us killers could be released aged 40, 23 and 28. Under today's crazy bogus human rights led justice system, court time (and lawyers' mega-fees) are all too often swallowed up considering the whims of convicted felons squealing squeal v. squealed, squeal·ing, squeals v.intr. 1. To give forth a loud shrill cry or sound. 2. Slang To turn informer; betray an accomplice or secret. v.tr. about their still often inadequate and insulting sentences.None of these cases deserves leave to appeal. If, however, appeals are granted and found to be ill-advised and worthless, sentences should be i ncreased. |
