Appeal to lorry drivers.Police are urgently appealing for help from lorry drivers in the North East after a 10-year-old boy was killed. The driver failed to stop after a collision on the A303 at Cholderton in Hampshire Hampshire, county (1991 pop. 1,511,900), 1,503 sq mi (3,893 sq km), S central England. Winchester is the county town. The terrain is undulating and is crossed by two chalk downs, rising in places to more than 800 ft (244 m). yesterday afternoon. Shortly before 2pm, a silver V-reg Peugeot 306 HDi was struck by a lorry pulling out behind the car. The collision caused the car to spin into a lay-by, where it struck a stationary yellow low loader lorry. The Peugeot was being driven by a 39-year-old man who was carrying 10-year-old Harry Luke Not to be confused with Charles Manley Luke. Sir Harry Charles Luke, KCMG (1884-1969) was a British colonial official. He served as the Colonial Secretary in Sierra Leone. Simcox, both from the Milton Keynes Milton Keynes (mĭl`tən kēnz`), town (1991 pop. 36,886) and borough, S central England. Milton Keynes was designated one of the new towns in 1967 to alleviate overpopulation in London. It is the seat of the Open Univ. area. Harry died of his injuries, and the driver remains in a critical but stable condition. Officers from the Road Death Investigation Team are urgently appealing for help in tracing the lorry.
