Appeal to join phone mast fight.

CONSERVATIONISTS are battling plans for a mobile phone mast on the edge of Sutton Park Sutton Park, in Sutton Coldfield, England, is one of the largest urban parks in Europe and the largest outside a capital city; it is smaller than Richmond Park in London,[1] but larger than the Phoenix Park in Dublin which both claim to be the largest in the continent. .

The Friends of Sutton Park Association are leading protests against the 15-metre O2 mast in Crown Lane, Four Oaks.

Secretary Antonia Watts said: "This means the mast will be higher than the trees bordering Sutton Park and the street lamps.

"It is very close to the pedestrian entrance and on a grass verge."

She added that with an existing mast nearby it could create an unsightly cluster.

"I urge as many residents as possible to write in with their objections," she added.
