Apparel maker stretches to fit 185,000 s/f on Seventh.


Warnaco Group The Warnaco Group, Inc. is an American fashion corporation. It is based out of New York City. The company had annual revenues in 2004 of over $1.4 billion USD. The company owns several brands, such as: Warner's, Olga, Lejaby, Rasurel, part of Calvin Klein, Catalina, Speedo, and , Inc., one of the nation's largest apparel makers, has expanded its headquarters at 501 Seventh Avenue for the third time by signing a lease amendment for an additional 14,337 square feet.

With the expansion, the company's showrooms and offices will occupy nearly 185,000 square feet in the building, according to Scott Pudalov, executive vice president of CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. NYSE: CBG is a multinational real estate corporation currently based in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.. On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2. , the building's leasing and management agent.

Jim Saunders of Newmark represented Warnaco in the lease negotiations.

Warnaco moved into 501 Seventh Avenue two years ago, during the initial stages of the building's $53 million capital improvement program, now nearly completed. It was the first of many top-tier fashion companies to relocate to 501, including LSV LSV Laser Surface Velocimeter

"Warnaco's brands, which include Calvin Klein, Chaps, Speedo An earlier scalable font technology from Bitstream Inc., Cambridge, MA (www.bitstream.com). Speedo fonts used the .SPD extension. Located at West 37th Street, 501 Seventh Avenue contains approximately 500,000 square feet. The capital improvement program has transformed it into a modern building catering to a mix of first class garment tenants and office users with Class-A amenities and technological capabilities. Upgrades include new corridors, bathrooms, electrical systems and windows.

The building offers convenient access to 11 subway lines.
