AppTrigger Announces Formation of Advisory Council.


Advisory Board to Help Shape Vision and Strategic Direction of Application Session Controller Startup

RICHARDSON, Texas -- AppTrigger, Inc., a leading developer of application connectivity solutions for the telecom marketplace, today announced the formation of an advisory council in order to contribute vision and direction to help the company as it continues to deliver innovative industry leading solutions for the communication service provider market space. The three member council will consist of former Group Technology Officer of British Telecom Mick Reeve, former Alcatel CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. See CIO and salary survey.  Dr. Niel Ransom, and Phil Holmes, former director of architecture and technology of Motorola Networks EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Refers to that region of the world. For example, one might see products packaged differently for the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific markets. .

Mick Reeve has an extraordinary track record in technical innovation, including over 36 years at British Telecom (BT). Recently retired from BT and now working as an industry consultant, Mr. Reeve was most recently Chief Architect responsible for BT's overall network and systems architectures. He also led the standards program, directing the architecture for BT's 21st Century Network and ensuring its alignment with global standards. While at BT, Reeve held a wide range of design and development jobs, including optical systems, switching and intelligence, and operational support systems. He also served as a board member of the Telemanagement Forum, the WiMAX Forum and ATIS ATIS - A Tools Integration Standard . Mr. Reeve has published widely in the telecom field and holds a number of patents in optical communications. Mick is a Fellow of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission, Geneva, Switzerland, www.iec.ch) An organization that sets international electrical and electronics standards founded in 1906. Dr. Niel Ransom has played a strategic role in developing key technologies in the telecommunications industry for over 32 years. At Alcatel, he managed an organization encompassing corporate and product strategy, corporate research, R&D investment, mergers and acquisition (M&A) strategy, participation in venture funds, and patents and intellectual property. While at Alcatel, he also held various general management roles, including managing the Alcatel access and metro optical business in the U.S. Dr. Ransom joined Alcatel from BellSouth where he directed an organization responsible for expanding BellSouth's offerings into PCS (1) (Personal Communications Services) Refers to wireless services that emerged after the U.S. government auctioned commercial licenses in 1994 and 1995. Phil Holmes, a former Director of Architecture and Technology for Motorola Networks in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), was responsible for ensuring that Motorola's overall network architecture developed in line with advances in telecommunications in the EMEA region and GSM/UMTS marketplace.
