AppIQ Hires Donna Williams as Vice President of Customer Operations; Storage Services Executive to Transfer Best Practices Implementation Knowledge to Strategic Partners and Customers.

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- AppIQ(TM), Inc., a leading provider of software solutions that enable data storage to be managed as a business-focused IT utility, today announced that Donna Williams has been hired as Vice President, Customer Operations, reporting to AppIQ Chief Executive Officer David Lemont. Williams will be responsible for the company's professional services, customer support, and training staff, and will work closely with AppIQ's strategic OEM partners, resellers, and rapidly expanding customer base to deliver solution-oriented implementations of AppIQ's storage area network (SAN) management and storage resource management (SRM) software.

To ensure that there is a scalable, repeatable customer success model behind the broad distribution of AppIQ's technology, Williams and her team will transfer Best Practices for implementing AppIQ solutions to AppIQ's strategic OEM partners Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Silicon Graphics (SGI), and Sun Microsystems, as well as regional channel partners. Beyond helping customers simplify the management of their fast-growing storage infrastructures, Williams will also implement programs that apply AppIQ technology toward strategic IT initiatives such as data center consolidation, information lifecycle management (ILM), regulatory and audit compliance, disaster recovery, and provisioning IT resources in support of new business applications.

Williams draws from a background rich in storage services and enterprise software implementation experience. Williams completed her six-year tenure at IBM Global Services as Practice Executive, SAP Consulting, where she and her 160-person team delivered SAP solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers and generated $60 million in yearly revenue. After IBM Global Services, Williams spent four years at StorageNetworks, Inc., where she became Vice President, Professional Services. At StorageNetworks, Williams managed the leading storage service provider's 50 storage data centers and 24X7 customer service center, oversaw consulting and training services, developed software implementation methodologies and evaluation plans, and built an Integrated Definition (IDEF) process model that defined the Enterprise Storage Utility. Most recently, Williams was Senior Director, Client Services at NewMarket International, a leading hospitality software provider, where she was responsible for the company's 80-person services organization.
