(Nasdaq:APOL APOL Asia Pacific Online APOL Alternate Person on Line ) reported that there were 86,800 students enrolled in degree programs at Aug. 31, 1999 compared to 71,355 students enrolled in degree programs at Aug. 31, 1998 representing a 21.6 percent increase in degree enrollments. The top five geographic markets (excluding Online) for Apollo's University of Phoenix grew 18.6 percent to 39,874 degree-enrolled students at Aug. 31, 1999 compared to 33,622 degree-enrolled students at Aug. 31, 1998. The University of Phoenix's Online campus grew 59.4 percent to 10,382 degree-enrolled students at Aug. 31, 1999 compared to 6,512 degree enrolled students at Aug. 31, 1998. Dr. John G.
